## The story so far.
Steve picked up his first trowel in 1993, working alongside seasoned Hampshire plasterers on everything from Victorian terraces in Portsmouth to new-builds in Whiteley. Three decades later, SJM Plastering is the result of that apprenticeship: a small, owner-operated firm where every quote, every site visit and every finish coat comes from the same pair of hands.

We work for homeowners, landlords, small developers and the occasional commercial fit-out across Fareham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Gosport, Titchfield, Whiteley, Park Gate, Stubbington and Winchester. If you're inside a 60-minute drive of PO15, we cover it.

The specialism is the finish - mirror-flat skim, weather-tight silicone and monocouche render, and certified damp-proofing systems. We don't chase the cheapest job in the postcode; we chase the one customers will recommend to their neighbour twelve months later.

Mission & Standards

## How we work, and why it matters.

### One team, one standard

Steve quotes the job, plans the job, and signs off every finish. Whoever is on the tools, Steve and his team work to the same standard he has held for 30 years.

### Painter-ready, every time

Walls leave site mirror-flat, dust-free and ready for a mist coat. Decorators tell us SJM jobs need almost no prep - that's the standard we work to.

### Tidy site, tidy paperwork

Dust sheets down, mess bagged out, written quote with what's in and what isn't. No surprises mid-job and no surprises on the invoice.

### Damp work, manufacturer-backed

Permaguard damp-proofing work comes with a manufacturer-backed system warranty when installed to spec - paperwork in writing on completion.
